Who would have thought that decade of the 1980s would have taught us so much about the subconscious mind. We watched high school and college kid�s break into their own worlds in the sixties and seventies, when drugs surfaced around the country. Those were some of the most interesting parts of our history, but with drug use up, the eighties needed some new light on the topic and scientist started looking at ‘the power of mind‘.

Everyone in the reach of Western Media has, by now, heard of The Secret, or The Law of Attraction, which deals with the concept of the ‘power of mind‘. In a nutshell, whatever you positively visualize in your life, you’ll achieve. Even if you don’t consciously direct it, your perceptions of the world will alter how the world happens to you. People with negative attitudes draw negative events to them, and people with positive attitudes draw good fortune to them.

Scientific studies of the subconscious mind show this more than ever. In today’s world we use studies like the Placebo Effect to understand the thoughts that can run through an individuals mind. Can you imagine thinking you’re going to take a drug that is supposed to solve a problem and it doesn’t? It happens all the time, but most of the time it’s because your mind is telling you it won’t. This is just one of the many features that revolve around the Placebo Effect study. This shows that mind power is very powerful!

For example, how many times has your alarm gone off, or you had something happen that put you in a foul mood, and you’ve said ‘Oh, great. It’s going to be one of those days�’, only to drag yourself into one bad experience after another, with each one compounding the ill will of the former? This is because the Law of Attraction and your own negative attitude are pulling bad experiences to you.

What you will find is that it all revolves around quantum physics. This teaches us that you can create energy around you for anything. Even if we take it a little further, the way it works is your mind creates reality. So if you believe you’re going to get in a car accident, and you keep telling yourself you will, then it’s going to happen. However, we want you to train your mind to work towards the positive things in life.

Unfortunately it’s not as simple as it seems. Take for instance the person who wants to lose weight. You spend 24 hours a day fighting off those thoughts in your head that say, ‘Well if I only have one it will be okay.’ Eventually one of them hits home and you find yourself off your diet. It’s definitely not a fun situation, but with the proper training you can overcome these obstacles.

You’ve probably already experienced this a time or two without even realizing it. Maybe you were cutting out coupons and that inner voice told you if you don’t stop you’ll end up cutting your hand. Then of course you didn’t listen to this nonsense and all of the sudden you stick your other hand with the scissors. Granted, it may not have happened exactly like this, but you get the idea.

The Law of Attraction is all about goal visualization. You need to define a concrete, clear goal. Don’t wish for a lot of money � set a goal aside for a certain amount of money, and set reachable, achievable daily goals. Next, try to direct every mental action you take towards achieving that goal, and pull yourself away from distracting influences. Keep that effort constant. Try to clear your mind of the usual pattern of thirty different thoughts running at once.

When you’re training you will even start thinking about things you have never done before in your life. Many of you will use the power of the subconscious mind to start going on vacation. Others will get into more serious subjects like overcoming your fear of the doctor, dentist, or hospital. It’s probably nice just thinking about the positive aspects of your life that are going to get even better, but we’re not there yet.

Just remember it all happens for a reason. Maybe you just think people are rude around the area you live. Then one day you get a flat tire and can’t understand why in the world something like this would happen if you’re thinking positive. All of the sudden you come in contact with several different people who are helpful, curious, and concerned about your situation. Guess what? Your outlook on the people around you has changed all because of that flat tire.

And eventually, if you follow through, you will get that degree. You’ll have a base of knowledge that you can use to further your career, and a foundation in how to learn independently to make your future endeavors more efficient. On top of that, you’ll have ample evidence that a positive attitude and setting goals can get you anywhere in life. All of your energy focused through the Law of Attraction can be quite potent.

What it comes down to is that you can train your mind yourself, or let someone else do it for you. We recommend taking the first route and controlling your own destiny. In the end you’ll find all kinds of power within the subconscious mind. All we need to help you do right now, is get started.

For those unfamiliar with the term, I have good news; Lucid Dreaming is actually a pretty simple concept. A Lucid Dream is a dram in which you are aware that you are dreaming. The degree to which your Lucid Dream is lucid is dependent on how much of the dream you can remember once you awaken, how stable the dream experience is and how much control you have over the dream.

The most important part of this equation is the control you have over the events of your dream and that you know that you are in fact dreaming. You are in control of your dream and can have any experience with your lucid dream that you want to have.

Take a moment to imagine this. Your dream feels and looks like reality, you have most or all your senses, the only difference is that you know you are in fact sleeping. You are aware that no matter what happens, you are completely safe. You cannot die, become injured, or mess up your real life in a Lucid Dream. You can dig yourself into all sorts of imagined trouble and fantastic adventures since there are no rules or limits to your dreaming world or physical powers. Lucid Dreaming is far more advanced and has far more realism that any virtual reality generated by even the most sofisticat3ed computer technology.

A growing number of people are mastering Lucid Dreaming and trying it for themselves. While most of us have an experience with Lucid Dreaming at some point in our lives, just imagine how great it would be to have a Lucid Dram any time you choose!

Lucid Dreaming gives you the opportunity to do anything you’ve ever wanted to do; to experience anything you’ve ever wanted to experience. Can Technology Assist You?

The technology not only exists, but it is being researched and improved. As this technology improves, so does your chances with experiencing dream lucidity. Some of these devices include masks and eye shade which monitor your eyes and blink a red diode when REM sleep begins. The Rapid Eye Movement portion of sleep is an indicator that dreaming is taking place. The red beam can help people remember that they are in fact dreaming as the red beam becomes part of the dream. Once the person remembers that a red beam during the dream means that they are in control, then they can begin to manipulate the dreaming session.

Another of the new developments is an audio technology known as binaural beats. Different frequencies are played in each ear of the listener; this has been found to be helpful in achieving Lucid Dreams.

Binaural frequencies help to synchronize the hemispheres of your brain � listening to them helps the brain to reach REM sleep, which is the necessary state for Lucid Dreaming.

Letting Lucid Dreams into your life

For those unfamiliar with the term, I have good news; Lucid Dreaming is actually a pretty simple concept. A Lucid Dream is a dram in which you are aware that you are dreaming. The degree to which your Lucid Dream is lucid is dependent on how much of the dream you can remember once you awaken, how stable the dream experience is and how much control you have over the dream.

This last factor is probably one of the most remarkable parts of lucid dreaming. Experiencing and identifying a dream and taking control of it is really quite an amazing feat. The simple fact of knowing that you are dreaming and identifying the dream as such is astounding. Lucid dreaming allows you to take control of the lucid dream and realize that within the dream there are no limits to where your imagination can take you.

Just consider that for a moment. Lucid Dreaming looks, feels and engages all of your other senses as if it were really happening but you know that you are only dreaming and will be totally safe no matter what you do. Becoming a Vampire

David Artsmith  -  The idea of the vampire as a creature in literature and media is one which is actually a lot broader than people think. When using the word "vampire" it can be applied to any of a wide variety of creatures, from demons lurking the earth, to genetically altered humans who thirst for blood, to pale skinned aliens that can only come out at night time. Each of these types of vampires have something in common with the traditional archetype, and usually blood is an integral key to the character, but the other characteristics of these creatures can be as wide ranging as the imagination of their creator.

The method by which a vampire is created is tied in to what kind of vampire the creature will actually become. A traditional model has a vampire biting a victim, with the bite turning the victim into something just like them. It can be effected through a blood exchange, viral infection, magical means, or genetic manipulation.

A variation on this has the vampire drinking the blood of the victim, and then replacing it with their own blood, either through feeding it to them, or through some sort of transfusion.

Another way to turn into a vampire in many pieces of literature is through magical means, invoking some sort of a spell or charm to effect the transformation. This process involves the magic fundamentally altering the person both physiologically, and physically, causing them to take on vampiric traits. However depending on the vampire spell, those characteristics can be accentuated or changed in a variety of ways.

Possession is another popular method for turning an otherwise normal human into a vampire. In this method a demon, or some other spirit, inhabits the body of the human, changing their physiology from the inside to match that of the vampire that they will become.

As you can see there are a wide variety of methods for becoming a vampire, and each one results in a very different type of creature being created.

Finding Out About The Laws Of Attraction

Why is it that some people can achieve astounding personal and professional success at a young age? Why is it that other people seem to spend their lives languishing on the sidelines, watching their existence distilled into a series of unmet deadlines and unfulfilled dreams? It is because the first person learned the importance of the laws of attraction while the second person scoffed at the ideas that the laws of attraction espouse. If you want to have a happy and successful life, keep your mind open to the laws of attraction.

Many people feel the success is an ephemeral quality that cannot be grasped, but only bestowed. These people, regardless of their other qualifications, will probably never be successful. This is because success is not only something that you can grasp, but something that you must grasp if you ever truly want it. The best way to grab success and make it your own is through using the laws of attraction.

You may think that you know yourself, after all you do spend every minute of the day in your own company. However, how many of us really know ourselves? I mean really know ourselves, and just how relevant to our daily lives is the law of attraction?

Once you have discovered your basic self-perception, it is time to recreate it. You need to take time to sit down with yourself, either in a peaceful outdoor setting, or a space you feel very comfortable in and focus on all the parts of yourself that you like.

Go through an inventory of your physical, mental, and spiritual characteristics and try to describe each and every one of them in a positive light. Don’t gloss over anything and don’t forget anything either. Even a single negative self-perception lingering on your psyche can ruin the effects of the laws of attraction. Take all the time you need, days, weeks, months, or even years to convince yourself that you are a great person who deserves wonderful things.

Don’t exaggerate your strengths and conversely, don’t overplay your weaknesses. Instead, take every weakness and try to look at it in an angle that can re-create it into a success. For example, instead of thinking ‘I’m a pushover, ‘ think ‘I’m a good team player.’

Every time you notice a negative trait in yourself, find a way to rephrase it in a positive light. If you keep consciously doing this for months it will eventually become second nature. You will learn to think positively of yourself. Once you can do that, it is time to let the laws of attraction loose.

You need to be attractive to friends, co-workers, bosses, and even strangers. Attract them with the strength of your personality and self-confidence. These people are then more likely to give you promotions and other opportunities for bettering yourself. The best thing about the laws of attraction are their infectious quality. The more you use them, the more good things will happen to you, and the better you’ll feel about yourself, which will in turn leads you to want to use it even more. As soon as you can create a truly positive self-image, you will be able to use the laws of attraction to climb the ladder of success.
