Subconscious Mind Power that Transforms Your Life

November 6, 2009

The movie Field of Dreams had the phrase ‘If you build it, they will come’. When it comes to the power of your subconscious mind, it’s ‘If you think it, it will happen’ Asking yourself what does the future hold is simple to answer: Whatever you want it to.

See, the power to create the life of your dreams, to change the person you are, to change the way things are in your life is all in your mind. The power of the mind is a beautiful thing, honestly. The mind has the power to heal us, to transcend us to make us feel good or make us feel bad. The subconscious mind power that each of us have is enough to completely change the world if we all would only take control of that power.

By now, you’re probably skeptical. Here are a few examples of how powerful your mind is. The example of greatest impact is the Placebo Effect; this shows that about 30% of all medicines can be replaced with a sugar pill in a control group, and the patient being told they’re getting medication, and the sugar pill works just like the actual medication can.

Testing things this way allows the observers to understand the intensity of the real drug, and the benefits from thinking you’re taking a cure. It’s kind of like in the old days when people were given peppermint pills thinking they were real medicine. Oddly enough they ended up getting better, which is why the power of the subconscious mind can be unbelievable.

One ripple effect of the placebo effect is that it also works in reverse; patients who are told about side effects of drugs are much likelier to experience the side effects than those who are not. Sometimes, this may be because they’re more aware of the side effects and likelier to make the association between the pill and the effect. Even so, a lot of doctors weigh whether or not to tell patients about the side effects of a treatment, because it may make it more likely that they’ll be experienced.

The power of suggestion combined with subconscious mind power equals incredibly powerful results. If this works in the medical realm, why can’t it work in the everyday realm of your life? What is preventing you from tapping into your mind power and positively changing your life? Some people use the power of suggestion to change the way their subconscious mind works.

Ways to use the Law of Attraction and your subconscious mind power is through visualization. You build a reference image, you visualize yourself achieving the goal, and then repeat that image as a mental movie. Do this enough times, and you’ll find your subconscious is pointing out opportunities to make that vision come true.

We recommend trying the physical picture. A great way to do this is by cutting out a picture of what you want in life. It may be a new car, money, or even your dream home. Then start looking at it everyday. Maybe you place one picture at work, one at home, and one in the car. In doing this you will allow the subconscious mind to take shape and understand what you want next. In time you will be able to make your vision a reality.

Even though this has been known for centuries, it’s taken our world this long to embrace it. Scientists from all around the world are beginning to understand the positive effects this can have on your life.

At subatomic levels matter ceases to be ‘solid’ and is shown to be pure energy. Quantum physics has shown beyond doubt that this energy can be manipulated by the mind. In fact as strange as it seems, quantum physics actually shows that this energy can not exist without the mind of the observer.

So matter/energy only exists because it is being observed; in other words it is the mind which is responsible for the matter existing – not the other way around. All matter and hence all reality has been proven to be a creation of our mind. This is the true meaning of ‘subconscious mind power’!

This idea that reality is shaped by our perceptions of it is the fundamental precept of Eight Way Buddhism, where the goal is to achieve enlightenment by giving up all wants, and all negative focuses. Sound familiar? Whether you come to the Law of Attraction through popularizations of quantum mechanics or religion, it’s still a powerful effect to harness.

What it comes down to is figuring out whether or not it’s for you. If you could change your life by thinking about it, wouldn’t you at least try it? Just try it out for the next week by simply using the affirmations process. When you’ve implanted this into your daily routine, move on to the visualization techniques we discussed earlier. The end result is you’ll be training and developing the subconscious mind the way it was supposed to be used.
