There are many techniques employed by sales people. A classic is the waiter and the winelist. He goes through his list of wines and makes a slight nod when he says the bottle he wants the customer to select. The subtle body language indicates preference, but not in an overt way. It sounds very simple, but it can be very suggestive if done by someone with experience.

Although there does seem to be some controversy over certian hypnosis
courses on the internet, is there really cause for concern?

At the end of the day most people never carry out the “underhand” or “underground”
courses available as they lose interest and move on to something else.

Its long been an opinion of most that hypnosis does not work, but i disagree.

Just my opinion though

I agree. I think everyone should learn something about hypnosis – just to counter the sales and marketing we see every day. I found http://www.perfectproductsforyourlife.com/Recommends/hypnosis to be the easiest and most powerful way to do this

I wonder if it’s possible that you just didn’t realize it because an outstanding amout of rapport was built between you and the person you were dealing with.

Have you ever been caught in a commercial that made you want to buy the item?

I’ve never bought anything by being pressured/hypnotized by a salesman. But then, I’ve been in sales forever myself. Maybe that makes a difference.
